Yummygal’s Top Places To See In The Philadelphia Are Before You Die.

This is one of the best kid-friendly parks around.

Containing 66 acres of pure-green bliss.

There is a toddler park and standard sized kid park. Pavilions to protect you from the sun. With picnic tables on those very hot days. A huge walking trail with exercise activities. Restroom facilities, tennis courts, baseball courts, and tons of other neat stuff.

In the summer months, there is weekly entertainment. Including theatrical arts and movies.

Walking trail at James G. Atkinson Park

I love just plopping a picnic lunch on the grass and enjoying the breeze. Watching people stroll by. I enjoy people watching. It’s like bird watching only much more fun. There are a few gardens planted by Rutgers University here. The area along the stream has always been my favorite to walk along. To see nature at it’s finest. Plus, a bit more rustic.

I have fond memories of this place as a child. The James G. Atkinson park was known as Bethel Mill Park, when I was younger. Now, I am sure my son will enjoy it. As it’s always brought myself treasured moments.
