East Point Lighthouse
Heislerville, NJ
On the Delaware Bay
Top things to see in the Philadelphia Area before you die.
This is the 2nd NJ “secret beach” I am profiling. It is gorgeous.

As pretty as a postcard at East Point Lighthouse
The East Point Lighthouse is on 10 Lighthouse Rd., but it’s on a dirt road with no sign.
We passed it and went straight to Bay Ave. Which we were glad we did. The views are stunning.
There are some gorgeous bay homes nestled amongst a no outlet road. Take a nice drive down.
We couldn’t believe how quiet and serene the place was. How beautiful the view is looking out on the bay.
Another shot.
We actually walked down Bay Ave. then back to the car. I climbed up a thing of asphalt and saw this below. The gorgeous water.
We then got back in the car to check out the lighthouse. There are also beautiful wetlands for nature lovers to seek out the many shorebirds and wildlife.
Now, this is the 2nd oldest standing lighthouse in NJ today. It was built in 1849 and only open to the public for tours a handful of times a year.
Which because of those non-opening hours. It means no crowd. And guess what? They have a gorgeous almost private beach!
The water is very clear and much calmer than the ocean.
Parking is on the dirt road next to the Lighthouse take a few steps away from your car and bam!
The calm water 🙂
This could be all yours. Enjoy the serenity. This was on a Saturday during the summer.
Tips: Bring bug spray and you may see horseshoe crabs coming to and fro the water, but that’s about it. Also, bring essentials like food and water. It’s a bit off the beaten path of where it is located.
As always, if you have any questions I’m here to answer!
