Mango Tango Villa, St. Thomas

Mango Tango Villa

St. Thomas USVI

If you are looking for the most beautiful, serene, private villa on St. Thomas, Mango Tango Villa is THE place to stay. It is nestled near Magens Bay about a 5 minute drive from the villa. It is in a safe neighborhood, and it’s truly a magical, beautiful place.

The beautiful pool at Mango Tango Villa

The villa is practically on the water. Across the water, there is a deserted island, Hans Lollick, which is actually up for sale for oh, um 10 million dollars, if interested. It’s views are of the Atlantic ocean, but don’t let that stop you. You can see St. John and the Bvi’s as well and they “twinkle” at night. It is only 3 bedrooms, but is very accommodating. Each room has it’s quirks. There is a deck that runs on the entire expanse of the villa overlooking the turquoise water.

How could you not want to wake up to this view every morning?

You can hear from your bedroom the crashing waves below, amongst the rocks. It is amazing and very relaxing.

There is a breakfast eat in as well as a dining area with an actual rock from the hillside the villa was built around nestled on the floor (near the stairs in the dining room) a great little architectural feature. The living room is big with a small powder room off to the side.

WOWZERS!

Dining room with incredible view

There is a little garden area deck patio with a grill that is super neat. An outdoor shower for 1 of the 2 master baths with a tile sunk in tub (and the tub is huge!)

The main master bedroom is a decent size with undisturbed views of course of the water, With your own little deck outside, and own private master bath with dual sinks.

They built the deck around this boulder. Really cool.

What really sets this place apart, is FULL PRIVACY. You can actually sunbathe naked and not be disturbed by any neighbors or onlookers (not saying we did, lol, or did we?) the deck and it’s multi-tiers how they actually built it around this massive rock and the pool hovered above the house is Just breathtaking.

Traditional Dutch style roof. The stairs are even pretty neat!

Total unobstructed views of the water from almost every crevice of the house. You will have to hold your mouth up from jaw dropping too many times.

By the time you read this on the Internet, I will be in St. John, but mango tango was my first choice, but booked during the timeframe that I wanted to go back. The house is so very special, very magical. If I could afford to purchase this home, I would in a heartbeat. Whenever, I think of this house in my catalogue of memories, it puts a tear in my eye. One of those special places that will forever be locked in your heart.

Absolutely PERFECT

Awesome multi-tiered deck

 Book this place!

The price is extremely reasonable for the house you are getting for the more “luxurious” upscale neighborhood that it is located in.

I am hoping to return in October, of this year.

Magens Bay, (not Megans), St. Thomas

Magens Bay, St. Thomas

Ahhhhh. Every visit every time. You can’t get over the beach. It is as soft as a baby’s behind (I should know I have a 9 month old). Now, I am going to say this and here we go gasps…. It isn’t the most beautiful beach I have ever seen in the world, but hey, it is up there.

A cloudy, but still beautiful day at Magens Bay, St. Thomas

There is a beach bar located on the premises. You can either sit at the bar or have a server come to you on the beach. Another thing, they charge per car an entrance fee, not per person. Avoid and hear me, avoid the beach when there is a cruise ship in port. It is too overcrowded. Almost not a place to sit. If you enjoy crowds, then hey go for it. However, ladies expect that line to the restroom.

The best time to venture is when there are no ships in port for the day. It’s a more relaxed and better experience. It still can be busy, but you can find a place to sit and still have that quiet, peaceful comfort you are looking for (and no lines to the ladies’ room) hehe.

There is a small gift shop if need be, but expect to pay tourist prices. It is a tourist trap. Drinks are very reasonably priced and yummy. They make them perfect. Not weak, more on the stronger side. You can rent paddle boats, but pretty much it.

Yup, the hubs and I getting romantic at Magens Bay

Hello there, Pelicans!

My sexy bird friend

The water… I have seen sea turtles, dolphins, lots of birds, and fish every visit. The water is so clear you can be out 25 feet and still see the bottom. A great beach for families since the water is calm and serene.

Weddings… Many weddings take place here as you will see in my pictures, one I happened to shoot last visit as it was proceeding right next to me. It is one of the most popular beaches on the island, so expect it.

The beautiful bride. I LOVE the gerber daisies!

After your day at MAGENS, make sure you venture to the shack, udder delights, for a refreshing adult milkshake (yes, alcohol) as they are the most delicious in the world. (they make virgin milkshakes for the kiddos as well)
