Linvilla Orchards
137 West Knowlton Road
Media, PA 19063
“Yo, VIP, Let’s kick it!”
“Linvilla Ice Ice Baby, Linvilla Ice Ice Baby. All right stop, Collaborate and listen…..”
Linvilla Orchards has been around as long as Apple Pie. In 1914, Arthur Linvill and mama duke Linvill purchased this hilly 300 acre property in beautiful Media, Pennsylvania.
Originally, they sold dairy to people in Philadelphia. However, the Linvills wanted to expand.
They started planting fruit orchards on the farm. Selling their fruit on the back of a van. Word got out on how great their produce was and the rest was history. They opened up a small shop in their barn.
Unfortunately, in 2002 the barn burned down.
However, Arthur’s son, Paul and wife Peg are continuing the tradition at the farm. They are in the process of rebuilding the barn at this time with 3rd and fourth generations also following suit.
There is no other better place to go in the fall than Linvilla Orchards.

When in season, you can pick your own fruit. From strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, peaches, corn, tomatoes and literally a gazillion other fruits and vegetables. Each month, they celebrate with different festivals at the peak of the beloved fruit or vegetable’s season.
For example, on June 1st 2013, they will have a Strawberry festival. Offering strawberry shortcake, treats, recipes and festival fun.
August 17th 2013- The Tomato & Pear Festival with tomato tastings, salads, sauces, salsa, a tomato sling shot (hee haw), pear treats, recipes, games and contests.
Whenever I hear tomato, I get this song in my head…Ahhhh. I can’t help myself. Here I go:
“You like potato and I like potahto,
You like tomato and I like tomahto,
Potato, potahto, tomato, tomahto!
Let’s call the whole thing off!”
-The Great Louis Armstrong
Don’t be calling Linvilla Orchards off though!
There are at least two festivals a month starting in June.
What I’m trying to say, there is ALWAYS something to do here no matter the time of year.
All year round, they offer fishing on the property (even have fishing tournaments), a children’s play park, bakery, and produce stand. There is also a swim club open in the summer! It really is a magical place here in the Delaware Valley.
Their fruit is incredible and the kids will surely enjoy their day!
And Remember:
“Check out the hook while my DJ revolves it
Ice ice baby Linvilla
Ice ice baby Linvilla
Ice ice baby Linvilla
Ice ice baby Linvilla
Yo man, let’s get out of here
Word to your mother.”
-Ah, Vanilla Ice.
This concludes our story. ~The Yummygal
